Our story started a few years ago.

This is more than a homey cooking school in Padua: it is a place to have fun and explore the Italian gastronomic heritage.

We are not a culinary school with professional trainings but a cooking school with one of the best hands on cooking classes and baking or pasta experiences in Italy.

The Italian Cooking does not exist! Italy is the cooking of regions!

After attending a culinary school, the chef teacher desired to deepen the cuisine of his roots, the Regional Italian Cuisine. The Rolling Pin Cooking School | Cooking Classes in Italy

She worked as chef in an important restaurant – pizzeria in Venice, then decided to travel and discover new culinary experiences.

Rome, Palermo, Florence, Urbino, Perugia add color flavors, recipes and imagination to her knowledge.

But the search for the simplicity of the product brings her back to Padova and this homey cooking school offers her the opportunity to promote the taste and beauty of the best Italian ingredients.

She continues her search for old and traditional recipes: she thought of focus all her knowldege and experience, passed from one generation to the next, from mother to daughter, to this interesting culinary activity.

Expect to be exposed to new recipes, flavors and ingredients profiles.
Our place is unique in character, with friendly atmosphere – has an excellent English-speaking chef tutor, top class ingredients and a nice location.

We believe that by understanding where our old recipes and food come from, how every dish is made and by whom, people can learn how to appreciate the importance of Regional Italian Cooking and the importance of the “Slow Food Concept”.

Good and delicious food is simple food.

  • local, seasonable, and organic food when possible;
  • good omega-3 fats (nuts, fish, and extra virgin olive oil cold pressed);
  • lots of legumes, probiotics, garlic, onion;

These our concrete actions on sustainability and health: serving and cooking local and organic food, in line with guidelines for sustainable, healthy diets;

In regional Italian cuisine, tradition and history play a significant role and recipes and food preparation practices can stretch back centuries.

The regional Italian food has been influenced by several aspects: history, geography, economy. So every conquerors of the country (Greeks, Etruscans, Romans, Arabs in Sicily, Lombards or Goths, Normans or Spaniards in Naples, French or Austrians in Milan)  left their imprinting on the the food, on the culture, and on the local languages “dialetti”.

Italy’s geography, history, and  four seasons have produced a good many seasonal dishes and foods that reflect the nation’s geographic characteristics.

Our cooking classes are not just a place where you can cook more or less good food. This is a place where you can be happy, relax, and meet other travelers or beginner cooks.

We offer basic or advanced courses for cooks at every level (from beginners to highly accomplished).

Every different region or town of Italy contributes something to our cooking classes: from the rice and seafood dishes of Venice and the savory Cotoletta alla Milanese of Milan, to the fresh pastas from Emilia Romagna or Apulia and Sardinia, to the sweets of Tuscany and Piedmont, and the rustic cooking of Rome and Lazio.

Sometimes we love to concentrate on old and traditional recipes not generally known in USA or in other parts of the world.

Our classic and tasty recipes are made with the freshest of local, seasonal and simple ingredients (from the fantastic farm markets in Padua: Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza delle Frutta), freshly prepared.
